If anyone is ill, or for any other reason you think they would appreciate a visit, please put there name in the care folder or inform the Pastoral Care Group, via (Sheila Linkie 811201, Fraser & Evelyn Graham 852610 or Jane Stewart 852983) Please continue to inform the Minister of anyone ill or in hospital. Thank You.

Transport to Services - Please phone a member of Pastoral care to arrange this. (as above)

Welcome packs
- Do you have anyone new in your street?  Has a house changed hands?  Perhaps you would like to hand over a welcome pack?  These contain useful phone numbers as well as church information. These are in orange and blue folders and available in both churches.

Stamps
- Please remember to hand in your used stamps (remember to leave a border of paper around stamp) in support of World Mission to the Church office or give to Neil Macpherson.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
– at Strathbrock Church Hall. We will be pleased to receive printer cartridges, mobile phones, stamps and postcards.

Prayer Call
- Please help us to be watchmen and women and be encouraged to spend one hour praying for our Church, Community and Nation (s):- 
8.00 to 9.00am 1st Saturday in month in Church Hall.
6.00 to 7.00pm every Wednesday in Church Hall.

Care Group
- The Pastoral Care Workgroup offers practical assistance to members of the congregation via the Care Group. If you have talents or even just time to help others with odd jobs, transport, etc. and would like to offer this type of help, please contact a member of the Pastoral Care Group, Fraser Graham on 852610 or Susanne Wilson on 852434.

CD of Service
- If you would like a weekly Disc of the service or the occasional Disc please phone Evelyn on 856403.

Home Communion
- Anyone who would like home communion is asked to speak to their elder of phone the church office 856433.

Recycling - I have a friend who is recycling plastic milk bottle tops with the money going towards a wheelchair.  Please could you wash yours and leave them in church hall.  I will let you know when the project stops.  Thank you Alistair Macpherson.

Fairtrade -
There is a new stall today which includes honey, pasta, fruit jellies and support. Please buy and support these farmers – Look for fair-trade sign in our local shops.

St Machan Churchyard -
 
A survey of the gravestones in St Machan Churchyard was carried out recently.  A copy, for inspection, is available in the porch.

Falkirk Christian Bookshop -
A day of Prayer has been called across the UK Christian Retail Trade.  The shop will be open on Friday 3 September from 9.30am until  5pm for silent prayer.  If you can’t come please pray for us at home.

Saturday Morning Prayer Group -
 You are warmly invited to join us for an hour of prayer on Saturday, 4th September, from 8 - 9 a.m. in the church hall.

Sunday Club/Bible Class -
 
restarts Sunday 5 September at 9.30 in church hall.  All young people welcome.

Restarting by popular request from Thursday 9 September until 14 October (inclusive) 1 o’ clock in the church hall.  Half hour Worship followed by tea/coffee.

Flower Club -

Thrift Shop
- in Strathbrock Church Hall will be open on Friday 3 September 10 -12 noon Come along and find a bargain.  Refreshments available.

Bottle Tops -
We now have enough for my friend to have a wheelchair upgrade.  Thanks so much Alistair.

Blythswood Fire Engine Project - Fundraising Lunch -
Houston House Thursday 30 September Ticket £30 – includes wine, two course meal with coffee, music from St Mary’s Music School reflections on ten years of Scottish Parliament.  Rev Dr Graham Blount’s update from Gary Bennett in what has been achieved since we financed 5 fire engines 2 ambulances to Moldova last year.  See Myra Macpherson if you wish more details.

The Boys' Brigade -
